If your child is in primary school and struggling with reading you can help develop his/ her sight word recognition though. a simple pairs game. You can download words list for each year group from ( insert link) and choose 7 words which he she does not know . Buy blank playing cards from Amazon or cut up your own and write the word twice on different cards. Mix the cards up , lay them out and take it in turns to turn over two cards. If they match the player keeps them and if not they are turned back over and the game continues until all pairs are claimed.
